Topic: Practical Mindfulness for Busy People
Practical Mindfulness for Busy People is about raising awareness of the opportunities to practice mindfulness as we go about our day. Whilst mindfulness has been associated with relatively intense versions of meditation, scientific evidence is showing that some very simple mindfulness techniques and practices can also make a huge difference and bring benefits.
Mindfulness has been scientifically shown to improve focus, decision making, and interactions with others. It is an alternative to being on autopilot, allowing you to respond and take action which is consistent with the person you want to be.
What you'll take away:
- An understanding of the key objectives associated with mindfulness and why it is effective.
- Simple mindfulness exercises to do anywhere at any time of the day.

Topic: Big Business Concepts in Regional Australia
Many regional businesses are regularly trying to find ways to compete with their big-city cousins, believing that it will improve their businesses.
After having spent time with the top end of town, Alan Barton, IBT Oracle NetSuite Practice Director and proud Border resident is here to tell you that your own business may well be the more resilient one.
Regionally based businesses typically have a much smaller headcount than the city, meaning that most employees wear many hats within the business, unlike the city, where specialisation is rampant. This leads to a stronger work ethos, as well as having buy-in for their employees.
Join us to find out how regional businesses are leveling that playing field and how agility is helping them grow and innovate.
