As Managing Director of The Regional Development Company, Susan has a diverse background of government, business and community leadership across rural and regional Australia and specialises in bringing together government, non-government agencies and regional communities for sustainable outcomes. She established her consulting business in 1997, and grew it to 15 staff with multiple sub-contractors. Over the past few years, she has reduced the size of her business to concentrate on board roles, mentoring, and tailored work for clients. Her business is based in Wangaratta and services clients throughout Australia.
Susan is passionate about creating positive futures for regional and rural communities. She draws on high level strategic planning, facilitation and project management skills, to design, develop and implement community consultation and engagement programs, strategic plans, and community and leadership development programs.
Susan is a graduate of the Australian Rural Leadership Program, and an honorary graduate of the Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program. She has held board positions on not for profits and commercial enterprises, as well as regional, state and national bodies. Currently, she is:
